DoggOn the Road Freedom Tour

The Animal Pad

2023 Charity Partner

The Program: The DoggOn the Road Freedom Tour is a dog transport support program sponsored by the We Love Doggos Hero Club Gold. It provides financial and other support for charities dedicated to transporting at-risk dogs from kill shelters and other threatening conditions to safe havens on the way to finding their FURever homes.

The Charity: Located in San Diego, California, this AMAZING charity was responsible for saving 1,400+ dogs in 2022. Most were street dogs from Northern Mexico who ended up in kill shelters with no hope. The Animal Pad not only transported these dogs across the border into the United States, but used its network of over 300 foster homes to find new homes for each.

In one particular act of heroism, The Animal Pad worked with law enforcement to shut down a dog breeding farm and have the owner arrested. They took all 111 dogs from the home, treated, re-habilitated and placed each in a loving new home.

The Award: As the 2023 winner of the DoggOn the Road Freedom Tour Award, The Animal Pad will receive:

  • A monthly cash stipend to be used by the charity to pay actual expenses related to dog rescue transportation

  • Unlimited dog supplements (calming chews, hip and joint chews and multi-chews) to help keep the dogs in their care healthy and happy

  • Sponsorship of charity initiatives. For instance, The Club is sponsoring a campaign to vaccinate 250 street dogs in Mexico in March

  • Serve as a network to help find homes for “tough to place” dogs

The Mission: The mission of We Love Doggos is “to make the world a better place for dogs and the humans that love them”. We do that through support of over 5,000 members of our Hero Club and Hero Club Gold. In 2022 our community was responsible for saving 854 dogs. Our goal is to save 5,000+ in 2023!
