Meet Some Of The Doggos Who Punched Their Tickets For Freedom Ride #63!

Witness the transformation from despair to hope as you scroll through the before and after photos of the dogs on Freedom Ride #63. These images tell a powerful story of resilience, love, and the profound impact of second chances. From the uncertainty of life in a shelter to the joy of finding a new fur-ever home, each dog's journey is a testament to the work of our community and the life-saving missions we support.

Indiana

Meet Indiana. He is the first confirmed passenger on Freedom Ride #63. We grabbed this sweet kid off of the "Euth List" at a kill shelter about a week ago. Special thanks to Jaime, one of our fosters, for taking great care of Indiana until he boards the Freedom Van for his trip home.

Cassanova

Meet Casanova. This fur-baby is passenger #2 (joining Indiana) for her ride to freedom next Saturday. She almost slipped throught he cracks and was 3 weeks past her "Euth Date" when we found out about her. She is safe now and will soon be on her way to her new fur-ever home.

Maynard

Maynard books his ticket! We busted Maynard out of the shelter yesterday and next Saturday he will be boarding the Freedom Van with me. We will be taking him from Sacramento, CA to Ogden, UT where our charity partner will nurse him back to health (he just beat parvo!) and then on to his fur-ever home!

Bobby

Bobby was found in an a dilapitated house with several other dogs that were abandoned there. The dogs were all attacking and trying to eat one another when animal control showed up. We grabbed her off of the "Euth List" and already have her a fur-ever home! We just need to get her 800 miles north of where she is now and we will be doing exactly that!

Spotlight Rescues

What Freedom looks like. This is Pluto and this the photo we took seconds after we told the shelter that Pluto was going on a Freedom Ride to his new home. Good timing too because he was already past his "Euth Date" when we got him.

Meet our little blind baby, "Pluto the 2nd". Yep, we have TWO Plutos on this trip. He is the 8th passenger on our upcoming Freedom Ride. He will be going all of the way to our last stop in Eureka, Montana where we have an AMAZING foster momma who will keep him as long as it takes to get this sweet one his fur-ever home.

Sally is 9 years old and as sweet as can be. Her owners dropped her off a kill shelter because they didn't want her anymore. That's okay...WE DO! We leave Lodi, CA next Saturday morning at 5:00 AM. By Sunday evening we will by 1,076 miles north and I'll be handing this girl to Barbara at Fetching Mutts Transport Society just south of the Canadian border who will work night and day to get this one a fur-ever. BTW...the DRHC has already made the offer to pay whatever is needed to get those teeth fixed.

Patches books his ticket. We saw this profile and the answer was an instant YES! We went and got her gave her an extra special, quiet place at Underdog Central to rest before her trip. She has a bad skin condition, hypothyroidism, bite marks all over her back legs and a broken femur that didn't heal correctly...and, oh yeah...a NEW HOME!

Plus, the DRHC will pay whatever we need to in vet bills to get this sweet boy looking and feeling great.
