Eugene Bostick is officially the coolest senior citizen on the planet!
At 80 years young, this retiree has embarked on an epic journey that will blow your mind. After hanging up his work boots 15 years ago, he set his sights on a new venture that is nothing short of legendary.
Unfortunately, Eugene lives in a neighborhood in Texas where people come to abandon their dogs. These poor pups are left to fend for themselves with no one to care for them.
This is when Eugene, and his brother, stepped up!
“We started feeding these abandoned animals, letting them in, taking them to the vet to get them spayed and neutered. We made a place for dog rescues to live,” Eugene said.
Then, Eugene saw a guy with a tractor.
“One day I was out and I seen this guy with a tractor who attached these carts to pull rocks. I thought, ‘Dang, that would do for a dog train. I’m a pretty good welder, so I took these plastic barrels with holes cut in them, and put wheels under them and tied them together.
I started out with my tractor… I’d put 4-5 dogs in there and take them riding. All of a sudden, a couple more dogs showed up. I said, ‘Oh, that’s not enough room’ – and that’s when I came up with THAT. Whenever these adorable dogs hear me hooking the tractor up to it, man, they get so excited.” he said.

This 80-year-old dynamo takes the dogs for the ride of their lives at least TWICE a WEEK, and he shows no signs of slowing down! He is a conductor extraordinaire, leading the pack on an epic journey of fun and adventure.
“I’m getting up in age. I’m 80 now, so I suppose it can’t last too much longer, but I’ll keep it going as long as I can. The dogs have a great time. They just really enjoy it.” he said.
He might be unsure of how much longer it will run, but one thing is for sure, every ride is a legendary one with Eugene at the helm!"
