In this week’s edition of the Weekly PUPdate, we have “PUPdates” on:
Mission “PAW”sible: We are elated to share that “Mission PAWsible”, our shelter adoption program, is in full swing!
BIG shoutout to our 3,000+ Hero Club members for sponsoring the purchase of two air conditioning units for the Mission Valley Animal Shelter in beautiful Ronan, Montana.
They’re coming at the PAWfect time; it’s supposed to be in the mid 90’s there next week. Their 23 doggo residents say “BORK BORK!” (that’s doggo for thank you!).
Up next on our to-do list for this shelter is providing some more joy to their facility by offering a fenced doggo play area equipped with obstacle courses and a classic red fire hydrant. Doggos LOVE those!
Go Oscar Go!: Let’s send tens of thousands of well wishes to Oscar, a special little guys who is getting leg amputation surgery next Wednesday.
Without this surgery Oscar would have spent the rest of his life in crippling pain, dragging around a leg that will never function properly and probably never being adopted.
This incredible community matched the $750 donation we made on Oscar’s behalf and his surgery AND adoption fee totaling $1,500 have been paid in full!
Finally, we just heard from Cara at The Underdog Railroad, dog rescue transport we support. Their organization just transported their 300th doggo this year from kill shelters in Northern California north through Washington State and even into Canada to no-fill shelters and foster homes.
Sadly, there are way more doggos to rescue than there is room in the van. Animal shelters across the nation are seeking fosters, and we invite you to consider the PAWsibility of offering your home to a temporary companion.
